Part of studying abroad is experiencing a new life in a new city. Last Saturday I decided to spend a whole day strolling around Amsterdam by myself, visiting a couple of cafes in town, and then meeting up with my friends in the evening. It was a super fun day. I love reading, and coming from the US, I couldn’t bring a lot of books to read. I was worried that I would have trouble finding a good selection of English books in a Dutch speaking country. I was totally wrong! There are many, many bookstores in Amsterdam, including English language bookstores.

Five months have already passed since I arrived at Amsterdam airport from Shanghai, China.
