Degrees

Holland has a wide variety of study programmes leading to various types of degrees.

If you enrol in a higher education programme in Holland, you will obtain a bachelor’s degree after finishing the undergraduate phase, and a master’s degree after finishing the graduate phase.

Research universities and universities of applied sciences award both bachelor's and master's degrees. Institutes for International Education offer master’s programmes, but no bachelor’s programmes.

If you want to continue after your master's to get a PhD degree, you have to go to a research university.
