NRF-Nuffic Programme South Africa

The NRF-Nuffic programme is a partnership programme between the National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa and Nuffic. It provides doctoral funding for South African citizens and permanent residents.

The programme supports funding for studying full-time in the Netherlands, as well as full-time joint doctoral programmes between Dutch higher education institutions and partner institutions in South Africa.

Application process

Application for funding for the 2020-2021 academic year is now closed. The new application round will open in the spring of 2021.
