Information about higher education in the Netherlands
Nuffic Neso Russia provides free information about:
- Dutch higher education institutions;
- English-language programmes;
- Dutch university scholarships;
- Procedure for applying to university and on scholarship;
- all aspects of life and study in Holland.
In our centre you will find information materials from Dutch universities. We can provide you with samples of documents you need to get admitted to a Dutch university and receive a scholarship.
Visa requirements
When you come to Holland for study or research you might need a visa or work permit. Get prepared and check which procedure applies to you.
Scholarships
Neso Russia administers the Orange Tulip Scholarship and provides support for other scholarships for Russian students such as Holland Scholarship and individual scholarships from different universities.
Dutch Science Talks
Dutch Science Talks is the name of a series of lectures designed to facilitate academic dialogue and dialogue between Russian and Dutch academic and professional societies. In these talks, we introduce the latest developments within the following fields:
- Peace & Justice
- Circular economy
- Agri & Food
- Designing the future
These open lectures are intended for a broad audience. Contributing Dutch professors include Louise Fresco, Nico Schrijver, Daan Roosegaarde, Louise Vet and Janneke Gerards. Depending on the topic, local start-ups and businesses are also involved.
The Dutch Science Talks are initiated and organised by Neso Russia, with funding from the Dutch embassy. Read more on the Dutch Science Talks website.
Dutch language courses
We organise courses 5 times a year. Classes are held twice in a week in the 'all-on format'. The cost of 1 level (14 classes) is 15,250 rubles (16,250 for a group of 4-6 levels).
The Dutch language courses of Neso Russia are supported by TaalUnie, a Dutch-Belgian organisation dedicated to promoting the Dutch language in the world, and the All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after M.I. Rudomino.
The courses are taught by qualified teachers from Moscow State University. Every year, Neso Russia also organises the official exams for Dutch as a Foreign Language (CNaVT).

NL alumni network Russia
The NL alumni network is a platform for international alumni, students, and interns, as well as Dutch education institutions, embassies and organisations. Through the network you can exchange knowledge, information, and contacts.
